Castellaccio di Filettole.
Surrounded by olive trees in the green of the Pisan countryside, the enchanting Castellaccio di Filettole is an exclusive location with a great history behind it.
Built in the twelfth century as a fortified monastery, the Castellaccio acquired over time the forms of a fortified palace. It was owned by the archbishopric until the end of the seventeenth century, then passed to various Tuscan families, who restored it without erasing the traces of the past.
Today’s appearance is mainly the result of eighteenth-century work that we can still appreciate today and has been perfectly restored in recent years. Castellaccio is a tri-level property with an inner surface of 1,200 square meters.
The interiors are characterized by the large refined and elegant spaces, with large frescoed halls and preserve rich furnishings, works of art and wonderful decorations. The building is also equipped with 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 18 people. In addition to the manor house there is also a dépandance for guests or service staff and several outbuildings.
Externally the castle is surrounded by a magnificent park of about 3 hectares decorated with a vegetation composed mostly of cypress and olive trees. The mansion has a beautiful swimming pool and a tennis / soccer field. Next to Pisa, Lucca and Tuscan coasts – above all next to Versilia – this luxury property is perfect for Tuscany’s lovers.
